California Family Fitness is excited to join various communities for their 4th of July festivities! We will be a part of the following events.
The Citrus Heights Community celebrated the 4th early this year with a parade on June 27th. Our theme for the float was "Fun in the Sun" because we are excited to offer another amenity to members of the community. Construction of a brand new pool is expected to be completed by the 1st of September.
The Carmichael Community will celebrate the holiday with a day full of fun activities. CFF will be demonstrating an X-Bike Class on our float and will be a part of the celebration in the evening with a booth at La Sierra Community Center.
CFF is proud to be a sponsor of the Elk Grove Run 4 Independence this year! We will showcase our offerings at a booth the day of the event. Come by and say hello if you have a chance!
The Roseville Community will host a fun-filled day with a Run/Walk, family festivities, parade and end with fireworks in the evening. CFF is excited to be part of the parade with a "Celebrating Fitness and Freedom" float! We will showcase our newest state-of-the-art machines, Gravity! We will have demonstrations of Gravity Training, which is a group training that offers the attention of Personal Training with the fun atmosphere of Group Fitness!
The Rancho Cordova Community starts their day off with a parade and CFF will be there! We will be demonstrating a spin class and will showcase many of our childrens program.

California Family Fitness, operator of fifteen Sacramento-area fitness facilities, is proud to announce that effective April 2nd, Randy Karr succeeded co-founders Larry Gury and Russ Kuhn as President of the fitness chain. Gury and Kuhn will continue to remain active participants in the company's board and will co-direct California Family Fitness' future strategic planning while Karr oversees the company's day-to-day operations. Gury and Kuhn will also get back to what they enjoy most; visiting their facilities while spending time with members and employees. Karr's promotion reflects the club's commitment to professional development as well as consistent and continued growth during its 17 year history.
"We are very excited to formally announce Randy's promotion to President, as he has been instrumental in the company's expansion endeavors and has served as the lead architect of our operations throughout the last decade" said California Family Fitness former President and Co-Owner Larry Gury. As the fitness chain's President, Karr spearheads the company's day-to-day operations, and his long term goals include a specific focus on emerging in new markets for fitness and providing a broader spectrum of family fitness solutions.
"There's so much we want to continue to accomplish, and that starts with keeping the American family healthy," said Randy Karr. "Preserving the family fitness principles that Larry and Russ have instilled in the company is a top priority, and I am confident that in my new role we can continue to promote these principles in the communities we serve and for our family of employees."
Karr joined the company in 1997, and has worked in several different management capacities overseeing the operations, sales, human resources, finance, and construction divisions. Karr holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from California State University, Sacramento.
