Aerobic and weight training are vital components of an exercise program and both provide great benefits to the fitness enthusiast. By incorporating both into your regimen you will increase the calories you burn, both in the club and everywhere else. Cardiovascular exercise will burn a high number of calories during exercise and weight training will keep the body burning more calories during periods of rest. In addition, weight training will help to stabilize the spine and joints, which will keep you healthy and less prone to injury. It also helps prevent osteoporosis, betters your ability to perform daily activities, and is the best way to tone and firm. All in all, when you combine cardiovascular exercise and weight training (and of course flexibility training and nutrition) you will get the best results possible. Just remember to find a good balance and enjoy!
