When there is an event downtown and parking garages are expected to be crowded, special event flat rates are implemented at various City of Sacramento garages and parking lots. Flat rates may vary according to the event size and location and activate up to two hours prior to an event start time.
Validation coupons cannot be accepted during special event rate periods at Capitol Garage & Memorial Garage, as payment is collected at the entrance.
When special event flat rates are implemented at these garages, please use City Hall Garage where parking validation coupons are more likely to be accepted.
