Question:
"How many times a week should I do my circuit training? I've been doing it after my daily cardio to boost my weight loss efforts."
Answer:
While circuit training is a great way to increase the amount of calories burned during a workout (due to the continuous activity and combination of resistance and cardiovascular work), doing it daily may in fact inhibit your results. With any resistance exercise, the muscles targeted need a minimum of 36-48 hours of rest in order to repair themselves to prevent overtraining and potential injuries. If you enjoy circuit-style training, we recommend performing it three times per week, with at least one day in between.
