A Workout for Everyone
California Family Fitness takes pride in gearing our workouts toward everyone, even those who have never set foot in a gym before. You might be new to exercise. Perhaps you’re recovering from an injury or surgery. Or maybe you need a gentler approach to fitness training. We’re here to help you find your inner athlete.
We can introduce you to indoor cycling (the full-body workout offered by the X-Bike is incredible), explain the basics of yoga, put you through the paces in a pool run, or even get arthritic joints moving in effective, approved ways.
Intro to Cycle
Description: This class covers the basics, from correct bike set-up to good form to cycling terminology. You’ll finish up with a 15-to-20-minute ride that lets you practice your new skills. Please wear comfortable, non-baggy clothes and workout shoes. Don't forget your towel and a water bottle.
Benefits: Increases cardiovascular, strengthens lower body, increases coordination. Burn up to 300 calories/30 min.
Intro to X-Bike
Description: X-Bike may seem intimidating, but it’s a piece of cake, especially after you take this class. Your instructor will cover correct bike set-up, good form, and cycling terminology. Then you’ll take a 15-to-20-minute ride so you can practice your new skills. Make sure you wear comfortable non-baggy clothes and workout shoes, and don't forget your towel and a water bottle.

Intro to Yoga
Description: We’ll explain the physical and mental benefits of yoga, as well as basic postures and techniques. Please wear comfortable, non-baggy clothes.

Yoga Basics
Description: This class focuses on breathing techniques and proper form.

Young at Heart
Description: Combine basic swim strokes with vertical movements and get the cardio challenge you've been wanting. Prepare to get your hair wet!
Benefits: Increases cardiovascular, strengthens muscles. Burn up to 250 calories/hour.
Silver Sculpt & Stretch
Description: This class is for those who are “young at heart,” incorporating the stability ball and BOSU balance board to increase balance while fitness moves build strength and stretching.
Benefits: Increase flexibility, strengthens muscles, increases balance. Burn up to 300 calories/hour.
H2O Run
Description: This class, which can be held in the shallow or deep end of the pool, challenges you to run vertically without stressing your joints. You’ll increase your land stamina and power.
Benefits: Increases cardiovascular, strengthens muscles. Burn up to 500 calories/hour.
H2O Cardio/Strength
Description: Aquatic cardio movements and strength segments offer a whole-body workout.
Benefits: Increases cardiovascular, strengthens muscles. Burn up to 250 calories/hour.
Silver Circuit
Description: This is a circuit training class for those who are “young at heart,” with appropriate musical choices and a gentler circuit approach.

Arthritis Foundation/Arthritis Chair
Description: Our Arthritis Foundation Certified instructors will keep your joints moving with effective, approved movements performed while sitting on or standing by a chair.
