I believe that your body is a system of interconnected parts. To only fix one part does not fix the problem. Working your body as a whole unit is when your body starts to create progress. Progress is a sliding scale dependent on how much you want it, I believe when your workout meets expectations that is where your progress begins.
My philosophy is health and fitness are more than what the scale says.
